Rainmeter Crashes When I Unlock my PC #62

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and choose to lock my computer.
2. Perform the same button combination again and unlock my computer with
my username and password.
3. Rainmeter crashes and I have to restart the application.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Rainmeter should continue working. Instead the entire application closes
itself and the operating system wants to go out to the Internet to find a
solution.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I am using version 0.14.1 (32-bit). My OS is Windows Vista Business SP1
(32-bit)

Please provide any additional information below. If the problem is a
related to some config option attaching a example is always a good idea.
Try to keep it as simple as possible and make sure that it is a fully
working Rainmeter config (i.e. it includes all graphics too).

BTW - I am also using dual monitors. Not sure if that matters but I thought it
might
be worth mentioning.

Are you using any of the SysInfo functions to get screen resolution or virtual
screen
resolution? I introduced a bug which is in the 0421 build (most current) that
will
cause a crash on resolution change when using SysInfo (which I notice when
logging in
with remote desktop). It's also possible that just unlocking could cause it as
well I
suppose. It has been fixed in the dev branch, so we're just waiting on a
rebuild for
it to go out to everybody.

I am having the same problem every time I log on to my XP box.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Click on my User icon (Home screen in XP with Fast Switching accounts
enabled)
2. Rainmeter crashes and I have to restart the application.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I am using HUD.Vision theme and only the weather skin. It works fine until the
screen saver starts which takes me back to the home screen.

Same problem here, except it only crashes after long periods of being locked.
I can
lock it, and come back an hour later and it'll be fine. But overnight, it will
crash
the next morning.

Almost same problem here.

Program crashes after the PC recovers from Stand By mode.

Same here:
Vista 32 bit, dual monitors: crashes after every unlock.

Win7, 64 bit, single monitor: crashes after some unlocks.
