Memory leak / no garbage collection (?) #178

It seems the app doesn't deallocate memory after deleting datasets. Adding, deleting and re-adding data keeps making the allocated memory number climb up.
In the image below,

Snapshot 1 (529 MB) is when two datasets are loaded
Snapshot 2 (527 MB) is when one of the datasets is deleted
Snapshot 3 (678 MB) is when the dataset is re-loaded

I've identified two sources of leaks that retain memory roughly the same size as the deleted dataset:

Scene graph leaks (should be fixed in https://github.com/Kitware/vtk-js/pull/2613)
PiecewiseGaussianWidget touch event handler leaks
