Tweak 'loading' watermark #26

Tweak internal message helper to also return a list of CSS classes. Tweak CSS for watermark messages to use a neutral color for the neutral 'loading' message.

@matthewma7, since #24 isn't merged yet, I targeted this against that branch. If it looks okay, please merge this first (which will merge it into #24) — preferably as a rebase-merge — and then merge #24. Thanks!
