16.06.22

  1. Dissolved 208 mg (0.904 mmol) ferrocenecarboxylic acid in DMC (4 mL)
  2. Added DBU (0.155 mL, 1.04 mmol, 1.2 equiv.)
  3. Heated to reflux (90 C) from 11.15 am
  4. Added more DBU (0.055 mL, 0.347 mmol, 0.4 equiv.) at 4.30 pm after TLCing

Appears to be very clean except for some residual water (1.55). Will likely carry through without further characterisation.
