Acetone - 170 - Solvent
  1. Added 2-fluoroaniline and stirred at 60 C for 35 minutes.

TLC indicated reaction was occurring but not complete.

  1. Added extra acetone (50 mL) and turned heating up to 75 C. Left stirring
  2. Took off after 2 hours reaction time

Worked up as in #67

H NMR

1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3) δ 12.68 (s, 1H), 9.14 (s, 1H), 8.40 (td, 1H), 7.93 (d, 2H), 7.67 (t, 1H), 7.58 (t, 2H), 7.23 (m, 3H).

Aqueous filtrate from vacuum filtration was allowed to sit in the fumehood overnight and fine white crystals formed. These were collected via a second round of vacuum filtration to yield a fluffy white crystalline solid.
