Figure 1:

• [x] font is too small and I cannot read it. If you could increase it by 0.5 size, that would be great.
• [x] part B - different tests are impossible to tell apart when printed black and white. Add different hues.
• [x] Legend. replace “an accelerated longitudinal design sentence with something like: a single time-point stool samples were concurrently collected from 341 participant with cognitive assessment and neuroimaging
• [x] also, legend for part B, remove “IQ-like” and replace with “using full-scale composite scores”

Figure 2:

• [x] when in black and white printout, Part G - positive and negative associations are impossible to tell apart.

Figure 3:

• [x] A and B are impossible to read when printed black and white.
• [x] Add (RF) next to the first random forest to define the abbr

Figure 4:

• [x] Color (highlight) taxa in B the same way they are colored in C.

when in black and white printout, Part G - positive and negative associations are impossible to tell apart.

Positive and negative can be discerned based on where the median of the gene set is relative to the overall median. There isn't a great way to do divergent hue. Instead, I made the non-significant white so that it's a bit easier to tell which ones are significant vs those that aren't.
