We want an objective to use for determining whether a change, or setting improves the quality of the preprocessing output

[ ] Cycle alignment QC: before / after alignment correlation for each DAPI channel
[ ] EDOF: ?
[ ] Shading correction: ?
[ ] Stitching: overlapping region correlation histogram + correlation image visualization before / after stitching for every image
