Need to migrate from travis-ci.org to either GH actions or travis-ci.com #378

Describe the desired behavior

Currently we use travis-ci.org, and this will be shut down at the end of December, 2020 - we need to migrate either to GH actions, or travis-ci.com (and beg for some compute time too I think).

Done - we have migrated to GH actions - see this yaml file, cribbed partly from ontobio's GH action yaml to run tests
