Installer doesn't work if vcredist.exe dl isn't available #181

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open installer
2. Click next 4 times
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Error:  VC++ download failed (connecting to host).
Press OK to exit installer

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Version 2.0 on Windows XP SP3 32bit

Please provide any additional information below. If the problem is a
related to some config option attaching a example is always a good idea.
Try to keep it as simple as possible and make sure that it is a fully
working Rainmeter config (i.e. it includes all graphics too).

Your antivirus or firewall is blocking the installer from connecting to the 
internet. Download and install the VC++ library manually from 
http://rainmeter.net/redist/vcredist_x86.exe and try again.

I went ahead and downloaded it from ms's website, but maybe that's the
error message that should show up when people have this error instead
of just quitting the install immediately.

hey i getting the same problem, and i downloaded that manually, i can install 
that like normal, but when i wanna install rainmeter again, its downloading 
again, why?
can i skip that??

ok it is realy the firewall, deactivated and than the download works.

for me problem fixed !
