Just wanted to add that this isn't specific to the Pebble. For devices that display track information via bluetooth, this seems to be an issue. I have had the same issue on both LineageOS 14.1 and MIUI 9 (both are Nougat, LOS 14.1 is 7.1.2, MIUI 9 is 7.0) when using Blackplayer EX over bluetooth (specifically to my car's Pioneer head unit). Same behaviour for me too of pausing+playing to fix the counter.
I have the persistent process option turned on, I've locked the process open in the OS, I've tried turning Wake Lock on, etc. to no avail.
Thanks!
Not sure about OP, but I just wanted to add that this seems to be fixed for me. I didn't see any specific references to this issue in the changelog, but either 20.39 or 20.40 was the one that resolved it. Maybe it was inadvertently fixed alongside the new custom audio library, or the Chromecast one-track bug. What I do know, is: I still have this problem in other apps (e.g. Retro Music, SonarWorks True-Fi), but I haven't been having it in BlackPlayer anymore. Hopefully this was fixed for everyone, but I'm quite happy myself.
Hi,
I know pebble isn't exactly your product/thing to worry about, but I'm going to assume it's a generic/simple error with external devices in general and not pebble-specific (though i have no evidence for this).
Anyway, when I'm using my pebble (pebble time steel) to control blackplayer on my phone the playback position (on the pebble display) doesn't reset to zero once songs switch. i.e: if a song was 3 minutes then finishes and moves on to the next song, the playback bar remains full and the counter keeps going, this also happens when changing tracks. However, if playback is stopped and started again, the bar resets to the correct (starting) position.
I'm not sure if this is related to #7 , but i think opening a separate issue makes more sense here since i'm not developing for android.
Thanks
