New muzzleflash effects ? #1860

While ArmA 3 muzzleflashes are still miles better than ArmA 2 static ones, i still think there's room for improvement.

Notably, they're too bright and visible during daytime, and technically speaking, they shouldn't appear at every shot. Now, it's probably a matter of personal opinion, but i also consider them too big and kinda cheap looking.

This is purely "for the looks" of course, but i still think it could add to immersion, and to the feeling that you're actually shooting a weapon. Like AGM_Recoil did, in a way.

Now, i'm not aware of many mods doing such a thing in ArmA 3, but VTN ( http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?184579-Veteran-mod-(VTN)-announcement-and-WIP ) does it, to an extent. I think their effects are overdone a little bit, but they still feel and looks better than the standard ArmA 3 leaf shaped muzzleflashes.

Not possible since they're part of the binarized model, which we have no (legal) access to.

We could add some scripted effects however using the same technique BI adds effects to vehicle muzzles. It's not really an optimized approach performance wise and you can't really remove anything that is currently there, though. And we don't know where the muzzle actually is on a rifle, because the rifle isn't part of the soldiers model, so selectionPosition won't work (In contrast to a vehicles muzzle).
