a) Trying to install Franca from eclipse Modeling Tools juno version solved the
problem.
b) Other part of the doc is not up to date, for instance the reference to the
example file examples/franca/demo1.fidl is wrong with
org_franca_examples_src_2013-04-17.zip

Install how-to will be removed in next version of User Guide. The valid
installation instructions is the QuickInstallHowTo in Franca's wiki section of
the website.

However, the installation on Indigo will be checked. There will be a decision
about how long the backward compatibility in terms of Eclipse releases is
ensured for Franca (at least Juno and Kepler, currently).

Indigo is not that old.
I just this month installed the Ubuntu 12.04 LTE - and have Indigo with version
3.7 of the Core Runtime.
Which is the latest version of Franca, that works with that? Where do I get it?

I found the location: searching for deprecated downloads is the starting point.
But getting the right versions of all dependent SW modules is a bit tricky.
