Hi,

thanks for bringing this up to my attention.

%§%&!# windows "protection". In theory it's great, but for open-source developers it's often shitty.

To be honest, I'm not sure how to resolve this. AFAIK, the binaries need to be signed. And for that, I need a developer account. And unfortunately, I'm neither using Windows nor do I have a Windows 11 virtual machine (only Windows 7, 8.1 and 10).

Any help is welcome. I'm not sure how to resolve this issue.

Regards, Andre

I don't know if you can use https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/downloads/virtual-machines/

Just wanted to point out.

I already use virtual machines but apparently my system does not fulfill the system requirements of Windows 11 (though this is probably a virtual machine limitation; I'm PC setup is quite recent).

I'll try out those you linked, thanks!
