Edit > Preferences > Syntax & Spell Checking provides the option to have Komodo IDE spell check the text in the strings. Presumably disabling that option will prevent spell checking in strings (and limit it to spell checking in comments only?). But even when the option is disabled, Komodo IDE seems to spell check the text in strings.
