Dialogs are still failing to load content #3580

I have problem with Komod edit 11 on Mac. Very slowly opening dialog windows (alerts, etc) ... 15, 20 seconds and more, very slowly response on opening files (sometimes crash) (remote ftp)

[EDIT FROM DEV] This is the issue where dialogs don't load their content which was fixed in 11 but apparently it's not COMPLETELY fixed.

Hi, this is likely caused by a slow internet connection. For dialogs with remote data, Komodo needs to wait for the remote host to respond.

@cgchoffman Please correct me if I'm wrong.

which is supposed to be fixed but appears not to be in all cases so i'll reopen this.

At the moment I'm facing the problem with macOS High Sierra. Are there any improvements, tricks, workarounds?

Komodo Edit, version 11.1.0, build 18196, platform macosx. Built on Wed May 23 00:03:29 2018
