According to the post at https://www.gatsbyjs.org/packages/gatsby-source-wordpress/ - it's currently not possible for gatsby to pull content images from inside WordPress posts. In other words, embedded img tags inside of post.content cannot be extracted. There is a PR (at https://github.com/gatsbyjs/gatsby/pull/7567) for this feature that's been created, but the Gatsby devs have said that it won't be looked at until next year.
This means that, at least for now our https://blog.komododigital.co.uk site will need to continue to exist in order to serve images from content posts.
