Manage Cookies Issues #4967

Open pavkout opened 2 years ago

Expected Behavior

https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/1693892/178826834-33347d28-b28c-4938-9d6c-3f4fbf69d697.mov

Actual Behavior

Hello Insomnia,

In the Manage Cookies modal If initially you add some text into the filter input and then you click on button Add Cookie or Actions dropdown and then click Add Cookie you will see the following things:

  1. The newly added cookie(s) they don't appear right after adding. it confuse a little bit because users think that something went wrong and some times may clicks multiple times on Add cookie button in order just to be sure. (Improvement)
  2. If you totally remove the text from filter cookies input the newly added cookie(s) will appear, but as you can see the name of this cookie(s) is/are the filter value we added previously. (Bug)
  3. If you try to delete the cookie you have to click twice the delete button, one for deletion and one for confirmation, which is fine for me but again I think from UX reasons maybe an confirmation alert will be more useful or if the button itself was changing and saying something like confirm instead of icon with bigger boundaries will be more clear for the users the confirmation stage. (Improvement)

Reproduction Steps

  1. Open Insomnia App
  2. Click on Cookies button
  3. Type something in filter input
  4. Click on Add Cookie button
  5. Remove value from filter input
  6. See issues

Is there an existing issue for this?

new cookies are not replacing old one for URL, you need to delete it and refetch new cookies again

Same problem here... The cookie is not overwrited, even though I'm saving with the same name
