The certified operator has been reimplemented on top of operator-framework >= 1.0 and is being published as certified operator version 0.10.
This issue is about bringing the community operator to the same level by reusing the certified operator code OR performing an equivalent migration.
Acceptance criteria
Given the high confidence that we'll implement a new operator in Go, investing in this does not make sense - we'll live with the forks for the time being.
