Hi. No idea. I don't use Windows, so no idea about that. Android I didn't bother – there are a couple of Jyutping (粵拼) keyboards. I have one for Mac, again: https://github.com/Kongduino/Jyutping-Input-Plugin It would probably be easier for you to learn Jyutping and use that.
Ah ok thanks.
Well strangely I was following the macOS instructions on their site but double clicking the inputplugin does nothing and there's no log or message so not sure why it hasn't worked. Did you just double click it for your Mac?

I drag and drop it on my text editor. It's just a text file but the extension probably prevents it from being recognized as such.
Oh but how do I then use it as an input method on my keyboard?
This is the site I'm referring to. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mchlp2866/mac
I double checked the encoding and your file is UTC16 but double clicking it is what is recommended. The default app seems to be an input manager.
I've also looked at your contents and it fits based on the template from the link I have sent
Double-clicking won't do you much good as it won't be recognized as a text file. To use it on a Mac, you put it in /Library/Input Methods
. I don't believe it can be used in other OSes.
Thank you so much. That was not in the Manual but it works (after a reboot. No idea which Daemon runs it)
However I have a question about usage. Sometimes you've put tones per word to provide a different predictive list, not too much of a problem however,
Also I have noticed that there are multiple entries for some e.g. "hod" where there are two entries but the list is always the latter one and never the first line of options. Was this intentional? Should they not all be on the same line?
Hi,
I was looking into how keyboards can be done because I was looking to type exactly what you've done and use the pronunciations I use from hong kong too.
Thanks.
