Frontend doesn't work if Joomla! 1.5 adds file suffixes #6

Joomla! 1.5 automatically adds a suffix for all menu items, but it is always fixed to .html, which breaks Podcast feeds:

500 - Unable to load renderer class

I have no idea how to fix the issue; there must be a way to change JDocument object or a way how to fix the URL.

@severdia: was this also the bug you were seeing? It's not a new bug and I have no idea how the code was supposed to fix this...
