Build improvements + minor crash fix #8

These changes fix occasional build failures and improve the performance of runClient. It also prevents the Internet Card config migration from crashing if the properties to migrate do not exist (the old behavior was causing runClient to not work even after deleting the old config file, for some reason).

Didn't know that dev-MC1.16 exists, feel free to rebase if needed.
