Disable laser sight option not available in .021 Alpha? #196

I am unable to find the link to the .022 alpha .exe for the laser sight patch

KozGit commented 7 years ago

Version .022 hasn't been released yet, someone updated the readme early. In the meantime, you can bind a key to toggle the lasersight on and off to disable it.

Okay thanks for the response, I tried entering "vr_weaponSight 0" in the console and it game me an error. Am I using the right command? Someone also mentioned setting "g_laserSightLength" and "g_laserSightWidth" Can you clarify for me which one would work? Thanks!

Is there a command to disable just the off hand? For instance, i would like the right hand to show but not the left hand when using weapons

KozGit commented 7 years ago

No command to disable just one hand - just out of curiosity is there a particular reason you want to hide one of the hands?

The lasersight won't disable entirely using a console variable in 021. What you can do is go to settings->controls->bindings, and bind a key or button to 'toggle lasersight', then use that key or button in game to turn the lasersight on or off completely.

Thanks for the reply, I figured out the laser sight options.

As for the off-hand visibility option; it was mainly for immersion purposes. I have the flashlight attached to my the headset, so the off hand is mainly for PDA access and for the most part is rendered inert unless fists or grenades are selected. While using the "Oculus 3d printed Gun-stock" the left hand is left mostly floating around two handed guns (very apparent when using the chain-gun) and bothers me slightly haha. Just a thought of it for another option but no biggie.

This mod is great and thanks for all the hard work you guys put into it!
