No Installer .exe? #200

"5. Installing the mod:

Start the Doom3BFGVR_Fully_Possessed_Alpha022.exe installer."

Am I the only one who doesn't see an installer.exe file? I tried changing the extension on the installer.nsi file but that didn't work. I'm new to this so any help would be appreciated.

You download the installer .exe or .zip on the releases page ( very easy to miss the link to the releases) :

At the same time, Alpha022 is missing from the Releases page also, is that just the master branch Readme being preemptively updated for a build that has yet to come?

Yeah, 022 isn't out yet - sorry for the confusion in the readme.

So how do you install the zip version as the readme inside the zip tells you to use the installer?

KozGit commented 7 years ago

Just unzip into the DOOM 3 BFG install directory.

For Steam, the default is probably "c:\Program FIles (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\Common\DOOM 3 BFG Edition\" If you've moved or expanded your Steam library, just unzip to the DOOM 3 BFG Edition directory wherever your library is.

When done, the DOOM 3 BFG Edition directory should look something like

base directx Fully Possessed msvc2010

( those are dirs)

avcodel-55.dll avformat-55.dll ... ... Doom3BFGVR.exe ... ... etc.

Just run the Doom3BFGVR.exe to launch.

Obviously I need to update the readme.txt to reflect this.

Seeing as on the release page, there's been 91 commits since the Alpha 0.21 release... can we please get the 0.22 release now? :) Pretty please?

KozGit commented 6 years ago

Releasing at 91 commits might trigger some kind of latent OCD - better wait until it's a nice round 100 just to be safe. :)

Seriously though I am trying...
