Crashing on mars_rotation.bik #206

Added HD Texture pack from: https://mega.nz/#!68BUCDZS!PVv4gQSrrP0i6U0Huetqfn-WBXZvpMkDKB81F7_9b7o ...later installed: Doom 3 BFG VR: Fully Possessed V0.021-Alpha

No option to continue gameplay :( Every time I am trying to go to ALPHA LAB 1 (through the transfer bay) I am getting this message.

Looks like my problem was caused by absence of file "exp_barrel.lwo" in folder [DOOM 3 BFG Edition\base\models\mapobjects\fuel_barrel]: doomerror2

To fix it I have:

  1. ...downloaded http://www.moddb.com/mods/doom-3-bfg-hi-def/downloads/doom-3-bfg-hi-def-28
  2. ...extracted exp_barrel.lwo to folder [DOOM 3 BFG Edition\base\models\mapobjects\fuel_barrel]
  3. ...deleted "collision" and "models" from [DOOM 3 BFG Edition\base\generated]

For that to have happened, the first hi def pack you installed must have omitted the model for the barrel ( the barrel is not changed by this mod). Good deal on Installing the missing file, and thanks for taking the time to post a solution as well.

I really need to compile a good texture pack that's verified to be compatible with VR. It seems like I see more issues caused from hi def texture installations than just about anything else.

Just got to this point in the game and am having exactly the same issue. Now waiting for the file you linked to to download, I expect it will resolve the issue as I am using the same HD texture pack as you. Many thanks for posting.
