FPS drops in random areas? #357

I have an Oculus Rift S and my PC has a Ryzen 2600x, RX 5700xt and 16gb of ram. I freshly installed the game and the latest release from NPi2Loup a couple of times. No mods other than VR.

When the game is smooth, it is super nice to play, I really am having a great time replaying this in VR. But it seems that depending on an encounter or an area has a lot of particles or something idk, that the oculus does its thing to keep the fps steady. The only thing is, when it goes down, it doesn't really go back up until I enter a new save point. Sometimes it would start lagging, then I would close the game and come back, and it is completely smooth. I lowered the renderer from 1.00 to 0.85 to see if that would help at all but it doesn't seem like it, as well as setting the TimeWarp setting to Disabled. Other than that, I haven't messed with any of the settings. Even soft shadows are disabled.

I tried some suggestions that people used for launch options on the shortcut, but I didn't really notice any difference. Task manager also doesn't show that anything is using too much of my resources. I am not sure if its an "AMD" thing in terms of GPU or CPU.

I will continue playing and testing things because I am really enjoying getting back into VR. Hopefully maybe even the new PSVR release could be put onto steam or something. But I doubt it. Regardless, this mod is AMAZING!
