Hi,
I would like to know too. Radicale is a great software, because it is just doing is job and the overhead for administration is almost non-existent. But in case it is not longer maintained, I would prefer to know as early as possible, to have enough time to search for an alternative.
And if you don't want to maintain this any longer or don't know how, because you don't have enough time or something, it might be worth communicating this openly. Maybe there will be support from people who also want to continue using radicale.
@Unrud : can you please comment with a statement? Would it be an option to fork it (destination to be defined) and mark this in "Kozea" as stale? Or open permissions to a bunch of contributors to maintain further on?
Forking is always an option; that is stated right in the license. Would be nice to hear from @Unrud though as he had plans for next steps with regard to things like sharing.
It's great as it is. @Unrud please tell us if you maintain the software in the future (for security fixes for example).
As noted in #1284, some regular / involved contributors could be granted write permissions. On my side, I will try to help, review and merge blocking or important PRs (like security fixes).
Hi all,
Looking at commit and release history it doesn't look like this is actively maintained anymore? Could someone provide some context?
