Radar Support #11

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

   Hi,

This is a feature request, not a bug. It would be great if emWeather
hooked into the animated radar you find on EC's Website. In the case of
Montreal, the URL is: http://www.weatheroffice.gc.ca/radar/index_e.html?
id=WMN

It should be an easy webclip (or the equivalent in Android). This would
allow me to check, while riding my bike, if it's going to rain where I am
heading !

Thanks for this... this seems like a good idea. I will try to look into it
over the
holidays. What I will need to find is a mapping of the radar stations to all
the
cities in the list... alternatively, I could provide radar maps only for, say,
the
major cities and just manually code in the radar station codes.

This will end up being a link that will open externally in the browser I think.

I second this!

Very useful when storms are approaching. Navigating to the web pages is just
plain too slow. Having the radar animated (gif?) in the app would be
fantastic.

thank you for developping this!

Hello,

I just saw environment canada has documentation up about this, I am hoping to
add a rough version of radar support in the next month! Will keep you updated.

This is a feature I will be adding in the new paid version of EmWeather, should
be out just before Jan 2013.
