Feature Request: Move to SD Card option #18

Lovin' EmWeather but it is currently the largest app on my HTC Desire running
Froyo. With only 512MB of internal storage, space is at a premium on my phone.
If moving the app to the SD card isn't possible, is it possible to have the
icon sets moved there as some sort of internal option? Anything to free up some
internal memory would be awesome.

Hi, thanks for the bug report. I believe Froyo has a built in app-to-sdcard
function, does it not? I have never needed to use it so am not sure but I
think there is one.

I don't think I can program the app to be on the sd-card, at least I am not
aware of how to do that. I am considering removing some of the icon sets or
making them downloadable or else having a few "light versions" available on the
homepage.

I am going to leave this open until I figure out a good solution for it.
Thanks again for the suggestion. In the meantime I suggest seeing if Froyo can
move your apps to the sdcard automatically (I believe google implemented this).

This functionality is dependent on your rom, not on the app. I am changing
this to "Won't Fix". Froyo does this automatically and earlier custom roms
have had this feature for years.

Soon I will be moving the icon-sets to be downloadable content so this should
be less of an issue.
