Its trying to find a Logitech HarmonyHub (not HarmonyLink). Right now, until it can find one, it won't finish starting. That way if you already had one on a previous run, it won't disappear from HomeKit.

miguelmolez commented 8 years ago

Thanks for the reply. So will I be able to change something in the config file to allow it to connect to the hub?

KraigM commented 8 years ago

Not it connects automatically. It just can't find your hub

miguelmolez commented 8 years ago

hmmmm any suggestions to help find it then? Sorry for the questions by the way.

KraigM commented 8 years ago

Where are you running your homebridge (Mac, Linux, etc)?

miguelmolez commented 8 years ago

Raspberry Pi connected direct to an Ethernet cable.

KraigM commented 8 years ago

Do you have a Mac?

miguelmolez commented 8 years ago

I do mate yes

KraigM commented 8 years ago

Download Bonjour Browser and you can at least see if it is able to find your harmony.

If it does, it should look something like this:

i.e. _mediaremotetv._tcp.

miguelmolez commented 8 years ago

ok thanks. I'm in work tonight so will try tomorrow when I'm up. Thanks for your help.

One more question sorry. I don't have an actual name for my harmony hub eg living room harmony hub. Could this be the issue?

KraigM commented 8 years ago

possibly. How did you manage to not have a name for it? Thought that was part of the setup process.

miguelmolez commented 8 years ago

It just initially connected to the hub as 'Harmony Hub' I'll double check tomorrow and report back!

miguelmolez commented 8 years ago

All working! restarted my router and it worked straight away :)

KraigM commented 8 years ago

Glad to hear

Hi guys. I am an absolute rookie of that issue. I want to use the Logitech Harmony Hub with Homebridge that I am able to use Apple's HomeKit like explained.

Let me tell you what I have done so far:

But what I have to do now? How do I finish that installation process? When can I plug off the USB? How does look like a finished config.json file? Do you have an example? Would I find the Logitech Harmony Hub itself in my Apple HomeKit app or just the accessories which I have to add in the config.json file?

Thank you so much for your support and help. I really appreciate every single information. Paul ✌🏻️
