Very cool add-on, thanks for making it

Using latest arcdps and 1.2 release (I made sure to download a new copy of arcdps)

image

To be fair I'm on Linux (I made sure to chmod it like I had to with arcdps) ~but my guildie has a typical windows 10 machine and is getting the same error~ guildie on windows 10 actually has it working, when they said couldn't find the file they meant on GitHub xD

I'm looking forward to being able to use it

This is usually what happens when you don't have the visual studio runtime installed. Can you try installing it?

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads-2647da03-1eea-4433-9aff-95f26a218cc0 Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019

I really should add a troubleshooting section to the readme

https://github.com/datatobridge/arcdps-uploader#usage

If the extension fails to load, install the latest x64 Visual C++ redistributable

I was just about to post about that. I'll give it a go

I tried using winetricks to install vcrun2019, it showed up in the add/remove tool list, running again showed the repair window It didn't work

Removed with the wine add/remove tool

Tried again with rclick in lutris, run EXE in wineprefix ran https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x64.exe

Install showed up in add/remove tool list again

image

Still failed Ran the EXE again just to check and it showed the already installed repair window did the repair and still failed

Is there a way to get more logging from arcdps?

Here's the wine logs from around then (not using full log mode), nothing pops out as useful

Guild Wars 2\addons\arcdps\arcdps.log contains some useful info

Are you running any other addons and are those addons working?

06kellyjac commented 3 years ago

Nope, this is the first arc dps addon I've tried. No other dll chainloading stuff. Using DXVK but that's not anywhere near the gw2 dir & being handled by wine

log is pretty empty

I'd downloaded the redirect page

We're in business! No idea if I needed the vcrun2019 install in the end but probably a good idea

Glad you got it solved :)
