i am not clear of why you want to have the "time_intervals" written...
you will still have to repeat them in the processes

No, the boundary conditions would be able to choose an existing time interval of this library. The change @AFranci proposed was basically because the time parameters are difficult to find. They would be more accessible in a top level folder called 'Time Settings'. Then, the intervals would go in here too, as they are related to time.
@RiccardoRossi I was talking only about the tree structure of the GUI, not about the projectparameters.json.
