Remember Tamagotchis? 2024 it's called pocket pets. ☺️ This cozy app invites you into a virtual world where you can create and take care of virtual pets. You can play minigames, earn money or visit the pet shop to buy treats, toys and accessoires. A joyful design with weather changes, seasons and music makes it a real gaming experience.
As an animal lover
I want to interact with my animals,
so that I can bond with my pet and playing the game is even more fun.
Description
Acceptance Criteria
A start button should start the game
The pet/snake needs to move in four directions
After a coin is collected, the body of my pet/snake should grow
Also a new coin should appear on the game screen
The collected coins should be added up to my win immediately
If you hit a fence/wall or the growing pet/snake itself a game over screen is shown
The player should be able to leave the game at any time by clicking a back or cancel button
The game over screen shows the amount of coins that are collected
The collected coins are added to the money stats immediately after finishing the game
Tasks
Create a feature branch feature/minigame-treasure-hunt
Implement a “walking” logic
Implement a game over logic (“hit the wall” or “collide with the pet”)
Implement the start screen with a “start” button
Implement the game over screen (e.g. pop up) with a “confirm” button and the earned coins
Notice:
Unfortunately, implementing the pet images was not possible in an aesthetic way. Also the Image of next was disturbing the use of images with canvas. Therefore I sadly had to change my idea from a sunday walk in the park to a simpler treasure hunt which is closer to the classic snake game. (in agreement with the coach of course ;) )
