which languages do I need for this challenge is it possible that I use node & express

Hello!

you can used HTML , CSS and JavaScript Vanilla or , you can used another library or framework like ReactJs, Angular or VueJs

So I can't use node & express. How different is JavaScript Vanilla to normal JavaScript?

Not, express and node, is use to backend.

Node is use to install dependencies and another tools to work is javascript frotend, but in not the core Vanilla JS is same to normal vanilla, but its the name how the community call this way to work.

not, i don't use libraries like reactjs, vue or angular., Only javascript
