This is from legends which included legends_plus. Don't know if this also occurs without it. This kind of "struck down by a number" only appears on attacks from Elven armies, so I assume it is an animal. There is a small number of different numbers that appears, so I imagine the number represents the type of animal. If the information is included in the xml or somewhere else, it should be included. If not, then it should say something like "an animal".
