We will need to upgrade the patch in kernel_patcher.py

You can use the ios 5.0 ipsw even if the device runs iOS 6.

Hello, I tried withe 5.0. and my device run ios 6.0.1

It still does not work, do I need to compile with a different sdk ?

Here is my command line i run
./redsn0w -i iPhone3,1_5.0_9A334_Restore.ipsw -k
kernelcache.release.n90.patched -r KeyTheft.dmg

This command line works with the same iphone and ios5.0

With ios6 the jailbreak still work, and the custom code execution as well. but
It does listen on a port to send the data over.

Attached a picture of the execution of the payload!

thanks

Hello,

it seems not to work using the dmg.

But it works following the tutorial!

can you clarify, what tutorial are you talking about? I'm just about to do the
same procedure on 6.1 iPhone 4, and I see you've posted a command line that
doesn't work but not the one that works :)

ok, I'll answer my own question. Ramdisk built of iOS 5.0.1 with 5.0 SDK = no
connection over USB. Build it of iOS 5.1.1 with 5.0 SDK = works fine on a iOS
6.0.1 device.
