8 months ago Noted, I'll have them self-destruct after a while and save the info to the config. I don't think it warrants a fully realized toggle, so an internal counter of 'yeah it appeared like 3 times already, get rid of it' should be enough.
to keep things basic, the three or so strings that shimmer pop adds to the news ticker somehow show up as literally half of all news reports, at least in earlygame after having just ascended, so it would be nice to be able to turn them off
