Several times now I wanted to paste from the clipboard in the password field of an entry but the field does not provide this option. Why?

Its pretty anoying to type the password when you can simply copy it from an other source.

I have no problem pasting text into the password field in the edit screen of an entry. I just tested and it works.

The "Paste" button is handled by the system, not by KeePassDX. I don't know why it doesn't work for you, maybe an option to activate in the Android system. Are you using a custom ROM?

pixel 4a, original rom, nothing custom

weird. When I hold down on the password field I only get the autofill option and gboard does also not provide pasting from the clip board.

Check the permission of the gboard clipboard, whether you have permission to read and write the clipboard in the background.

I do not see such an option

I encountered this problem in other applications. AdAway The paste function cannot work in the input box for adding a blacklisted domain name. If you switch to the input box of another application, everything is normal.

Im closing this. I encounter inconsistent behavior. This is clearly a OS issue.
