I think it is unclear (at least to first time/occasional users) what action the key icon on the Magikeyboard represents. When the database is still locked, it seems to be the button you have to tap to unlock the database:
When the database is unlocked however, it's still there, and there's a padlock right next to it:
I want to change the entry selection, so let's see... I used the key to unlock the database, so that will probably relock it, so maybe if I tap the padlock? Keys, locks, it could all represent credentials... O no, it brought me back to the previous state!
Or maybe if I long-tap a button it will show me a tooltip explaining the functionality... nope, it doesn't, but when I release my finger it acts as if I tapped the button, argh! (Related: #577)

Looks like the key icon actually represents entry selection. That would be a LOT clearer if it was just a magnifying glass instead:
