Make "Follow the system" option accessible for free #1760

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. I would like to use the "Follow the system" theme option, but it is locked behind a paywall.

Describe the solution you'd like I'd like at least basic features like that to not be locked behind a paywall.

The contribution system is not a paywall: it encourages users to get involved in the creation of the project, perhaps through translation, code, communication or a donation.

This has never been a basic feature, never prevented you from opening a KeePass database or managing your passwords.

It's a dynamic visual theme, which took me several months to develop because I had to migrate the old visual model and which I added to reward users who put in the work. I could simply have left it off.

I will, of course, provide an unlocking method if you tell me how you contribute to the project. ;)

Please change that dialog, because it looks like you only get access to those features if you contribute monetarily.

You spent months on a feature and then let it go to waste by not allowing users to use it in an OPEN source app.

I can give you access to the themes as you're very kind, just let me know what you've done to contribute to the project (spoiler: complaining isn't contributing :D)

Encountering this in the app is frustrating, but reading through this thread makes it very understandable and even a positive thing! Could you make this clearer in the app; the pop-up modal is rather vague and passive.

Perhaps add a few sentences along the lines of "If you'd like to unlock this feature, please contribute to the project (code, design, monetarily) and reach out for the unlocking procedure."
