Custom php code in theme footer.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. putting php in footer (theme 'footer' customize menu, not widget menu)it 
gets stripped out.
2. I'm trying to put the date in for copyright.
3. I'm using 
4. I tried using the footer widget, but it keeps disappearing whenever I drag a 
widget into
5. I'm using exec-php plugin to allow me to use php code anywhere in 
pages/posts/widgets

For use php in footer you should be open file footer.php and edit it.
I will never implement php support in footer by security reason
