Events Manager Extended plugin not working fully in theme

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install the Events Manager Extended plugin
2. Create new event
3. Try to set the date of the new event

What version of the ... are you using?
1. Wordpress: 3.0.4
2. Constructor: 1.4.3
3. PHP: 5.3.2
4. Browser: Safari
5. OS: OS X

What URL of your blog(s)?
only localhost so far, not published

Please provide any additional information below.
I get a JavaScript error when trying to add a date to the event. 
I tried it in the default theme and it worked just fine.

Here is the error that I get: 
"jquery-ui-custom.js:501TypeError: Result of expression 'd(a).zIndex' 
[undefined] is not a function."

Hope it is an easy fix because I really like the constructor theme along with 
this event plugin and my site is depending in future event dates.

This issue fixed in new version 1.5.4+
New version not yet approved by admins of wordpress repository
