i want to lock version

Unfortunately, the website generator I use (Wyam) doesn't generate pages that work properly offline and I'm not a web developer so I have no idea what's actually wrong or how to fix it. I made a feature request for it ages ago but it never went anywhere.

Do you really need to lock the version? I would have assumed that if you start a new project with the latest version of Animancer, it's unlikely that the documentation will change too much by the time you finish and most of the things that change are generally either improvements to the way things are presented or new features which you can ignore if you don't have them.

thank you for your reply

My project will last for two or three years, and the Animancer may not be updated every so often. I am worried that the document will be updated later, but my Animancer has not been updated, causing the document description to not match my local version

Can you offer a dark mode for website? The current green saturation is too high, it hurts the eyes.

In theory you could fork this repo and host it somewhere yourself. I use GitHub Pages, but you need an enterprise account to make them private and I wouldn't want you to host it publicly because people might see your one and not realise its out of date. Though I guess it would be easy enough to add a banner up the top explaining that and linking to the real site.

For dark mode, I recommend getting Dark Reader so you can use it on any site. The very first issue anyone posted here was actually about the same thing. Implementing a dark mode toggle would be a hassle to figure out and would require cookies to remember your mode which would then need a GDPR cookies acceptance form and probably also a privacy policy. But I'm not opposed to just changing the base colours since that's easy to do. I'm no artist, but I ended up with the current colour scheme because I wanted a bit of colour and found that reducing the saturation or brightness too much just made it look ugly. Is there a particular area that irritates you? The background? The main text?
