Route 4 Glitch (Again)

After I updated the game, I can get farther than I could before (since I had a previous issue with Route 4 glitching), but now when I talk to Colress after he asks me for my name he said "well then" and the game freezes up. The text is also partially incomplete when he talks to you.

I am on v2.0 and I had NO PROBLEM at all when talking to Colress. I suggest you update to v2.1 or just use a clean rom.

I am on v2.1 and after the battle with Colress, it freezes again with the same error as above, but with the text "So then,". I am unable to play on a clean rom without it freezing in the middle of the battle and other such issues.

I am currently using an R4i-SDHC with wifi and seem to be having this issue as well. I am fully patched up to 2.1 and freeze when Colress says "So then," after we battle on route 4. Seems to be a common problem. I also have an R4 Clone running YSMenu 6.80RGF and an older version of the patch on that rom. I can progress past it. I will try using 2.1 on YSMenu and see if it helps, as this could clearly be an Firmware issue.

Well seems so far to be a patch issue. With a different patch I passed this part without any issues. Maybe a combination of r4 and 2.1? Sorry I am not more help. Are you playing with an R4? This may be why the issue is coming up.

Yes, I am playing on an R4 with the latest Wood R4 Firmware (That I know of, I'm about to check for any updates). I know that it is most likely the fact that I'm playing on the R4 that is causing this issue.

Are you on White? This may be a white specific problem.

I'm also getting this issue on R4 in White2, I downloaded clean rom, then patched, now after the battle with him it freezes in the middle of text

my advice to anyone having this issue, just use a clean rom for 5 mins until after the convo with him and then save it, then go back to your patched game.... worked for me

Yes, it is only a White 2 problem, I saw on the forums that someone tested it on a new Black 2 rom that they patched with the v2.1 patch, and it went through there without any problems on their R4 with the newest Wood R4 Firmware.

This should all be worked out in v2.2, lets just use clean roms to get past this spot for now. Sorry about that. If the problem occurs again v2.2 let me know for sure!!

Is there anyway to keep my saves/saved states after I update to 2.2??

@jrfan007 Yes, just name the rom the same thing as the save file(s) are named. For example, my Pokemon White 2 save is Pokemon White 2.nds. So I would name any patched roms that I use to replace my current rom, I would name it "Pokemon White 2.nds"

I used Wood R4 version 1.50 with original 2gb R4 and it works just fine with the cheats on but if I turn them off my game freezes.
