Expected files error...Help please

This is the text box I received when first trying to patch:

xdelta.exe expected files from file (C:\Users\Admin\ Downloads\English\Pokemon Black 2 & White 2 Translation by Pokestation and ProjectPokemon v2.3\ Pokemon Black 2 (J) of length 536870912 bytes

I checked the recent posts and did not see anything that was sort of like this so I decided to post my problem. If someone already did post this error then I apolgize... But please help me i followed all the steps of patching correctly I even tried a lot of different roms. All clean. Please give me a solution I will appreciate it very much. Thank you!!!

What OS are you using to patch the rom? If you have a mac then patching roms are almost impossible.

i got windows 7 man no mac

I tried patching Pokemon White 2 and Pokemon Black 2 and it works for me, maybe its your computer and not the patch itself. Moreover, I get a file size of 512 MB, can you try rebooting your computer and trying again?

If that does not work, try a different computer in the room most people nowadays have more than one PC especially bigger families.

well im redownloading everything and trying it on my other computer so its gonna take a few minutes but ill let u know as soon as i find out

Sure, ask around for more complex problems, but let me give you a hint about patches. A patch takes out the "bad data" of the original file (rom) and replaces it with "good data". A translation patch overrides the Japanese text and replaces it with English text as well as any bugs in the original rom file such as the Marshal freeze. However, making patches is a very delicate painful process, one wrong coding in the script and you will get a game glitch or freeze. Thus, tell your friends that complaining about new updates only makes life harder for Pokemon Project and Pokestation and make them make more mistakes in coding due to stress and pressure.

That is very true and thanks again for your help. I will try not to complain to much lol. This was my first issue though and it seems to be working now that i redownloaded it. I dont know what was wrong before but it works now. Thanks for your time to help me out. And yes I will tell my friends not to complain about the new updates. This case is now closed.
