Can't use global autotype or copy paste when adding an account #110

I normally have "copy passwords" disabled. But global autotype doesn't seem to work for logging in to authorize cloud providers (even though I setup a window match). For Dropbox I was able to change my keepass settings and then paste the password on the screen, but for the "Authorize to OneDrive" screen I can't autotype and can't paste (using ctrl+v or mouse).

Which screen do you mean? The Authorization Dialog from KeeAnywhere when adding a new OneDrive account? Do you want to have your OneDrive Password password entered from the KeePass instance you are currently using?

MaximilianKohler commented 6 years ago

Yes to both!

Yeah, confirm the problem with OneDrive Authorize window! It's a shame we cannot copy-paste in authorize. How do you imagine typing &*#$@gfhd575@#$!-alike pass manually?

Kyrodan commented 6 years ago

Sorry for my late reply. I understand your issue. I think I can't fix it shorttime because KeePass can't AutoType in it's own windows. If issue #89 is implemented, AutoType is automatically working.

Suncatcher commented 6 years ago

And why copy-paste doesn't work? It isn't related to auto-type. In other place this OneDrive authorization window allows pasting.

Here is a workaround: Auto-type with KeePassXC.

Would it be possible to somehow remove the popup window block? The fact that we cannot copy our passwords and usernames (and stored totps) is because KeeAnywhere windows are blocking me from accessing KeePass main window (they are "on top")

Kyrodan commented 3 years ago

@Swoy This is still a valid requirement. With v2.0 the internal browser will be removed (you can get a test version from #252). But there is still a window on top and hopefully I can change it to be modal. Drawback: you can "loose" it in your background windows (as I already do it for e.g. Kee Vault Plugin).

@Kyrodan I did already download the test version, and so far it works well with Dropbox (restrictive creates the Folder KeeAnywhere inside App as expected), Google and OneDrive as far as I can tell.

I will keep you posted if I find something weird, I use KeePass daily. One question; who wins if two users save at the same time?
