we have 200 lecture class and 3 laboratory
and 17 room , 11 classrooms and 6 computer laboratory
i want system to schedule lectures to rooms of classrooms and laboratory to
computer laboratory rooms

i try add two group of rooms (classrooms, labs) then edit room group preference
for each lecture to
prohibited labs group for lectures and make this group required for labs
but guess we want to apply this way to all university classes not for one
college , that way not perfect!

is there another way to do that more easily??

sorry for my bad english :)

Requiring classrooms or prohibiting laboratories for lectures (or vice versa
for the labs) is the correct way to go.

An alternative is to setup an external managed department (External Manager
toggle on the department). Then on the Instructional Offering Configuration,
one can select this department for certain classes (e.g., lectures). This
externally managed department can have a different set of rooms than the
department of the subject area of the course. The primary purpose of these
external departments is the ability to timetable some classes (e.g., large
lecture rooms or computing labs) centrally, outside of the departmental
problems.
