Custom tools/weapons for L0ne and Tris

I got the Holy Blade, so it's only fair.

Tris: Dagger of the Perfect Soul Can 'block' incoming attacks perfectly, provided you block with correct timing. If you do block damage, it will damage the enemy player, throw them back, and damage their tool. They'll also be weak and slow for a second or two. This can block cognitive damage, as the weapon is imbued with the Concept of armor. Crafting: elementium sword main component "I claim the blade of Order!" for others: "I see within, and know what I've done. I feel myself, I know myself, I am myself." + terrasteel + Thunderous Splinters + dice of fate + Rod of the Bifrost + Tris's skull + gaia spirit

I'll make something myself. I've got an idea or two, but I want to test some stuff out :D Ill see if I can get some work on the mod done this week, unfortunately works been crazy since my boss took extended leave.

One rule, though: it can't be a strict upgrade to anything. There always has to be a choice that's better/worse depending on the situation. For me, that's any ranged sword. For tris, that's thorns armor.

it's a bow? what's the gimmick, and how are other bows better/worse?

Its not done yet, but aim assist, bonus undead damage, and debuff removal are the current ideas.

How do other bows gain advantage over it? Since there always has to be a better option in different circumstances.

I know there are thaumcraft addons that add arrows that have extra abilities like knockback, pierce, fire damage, etc. This bow would use mana as the arrow so its unable to use special ammo. Debuff removal happens when the bow is shot at full charge, so you have to actually fire it to get the bonus.

Ok, clarification required: pretend you're in a pure vanilla/botania/BA environment. There must be an option that you'd want just as much, if not more, than the special tool. We're not trying to replace anything, just give more options.

:p This is now why I'm not an idea guy. Bows are useful in less use cases that other tools and weapons. Too slow in normal close range fights(gaia), Wither gets arrow immunity halfway through the fight and they just make endermen angry.

Yeah, Revelation was just a 'how can I annoy tris' weapon, at the start. the Perfect Soul was a bit more thought-out, and honestly I feel like I drew the short straw on weapon awesomeness. You can bounce ideas around, and see if you can think of something awesome.

Trying to think of something that doesn't overlap with you or tris is difficult most of my ideas have an attack or defense stance or is more of a utility that indirectly improves upon a bauble that exists.

I mean, it could attack in a novel way, or defend in a novel way. Hell, I don't think I've ever seen anything CLOSE to the Dagger!

@Zsashas I'm not a big fan of debuffs. I don't tend to play on servers and most debuffs seem nurfed or ineffective against npcs.

Also, debuffs as the only method of attack seem kind of weak, and not very flavorful. Tris's dagger inflicts debuffs since it is reflecting a wall of force into you, which makes you need to catch your breath for a second or two.

Hmm...if you still want to do a bow, what about something like Terraria's Daedalus Stormbow? Arrows don't come from the bow, they drop from the sky.

A sidegrade sort of like the Starfury is to the Terra Blade.

kitsunebi, foxfire, when I was creating orbs I accidentally set the motion for the orbs to 0 and they floated in the air until you interacted with them and floated off in the direction you pushed them in.
