AppData reports cardpeek as "Power Statistics" #67

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Description of problem:
Using Fedora 22 and browsing GNOME Software, I see a program called "Power
Statistics" in "System" > "Security". Curious about why it's showing up in this
category instead of "Monitoring" along with the other power stats app, I click
on it. A while later, I see a screenshot that has nothing to do with power at
all, and a description that refers to "cardpeek"

Then I realize that the AppData is incorrect and should have a different title
and short description entirely.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
https://code.google.com/p/cardpeek/source/browse/trunk/cardpeek.appdata.xml

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load the GNOME software app.
2. Browse to "System", then "Security".
3. Observe that there's a "Power Statistics" program, rather out of place.

Actual results:
Labeled "Power Statistics" that "Observe[s] power management"

Expected results:
Should probably be titled and described as a smart card reader that reads the
contents of smart cards.

Hi,
thanks for the report. There is indeed an error in the summary inside the
appdata file. I fixed it in the SVN just now and it will be corrected in the
next release of Cardpeek. My apologies for the inconvenience.
Best
A.

"Name" is still "Power Statistics" in the latest trunk.
