An Archive of all the p5.js mini-excersises from the course in Aesthetic Programming at Aarhus University, along with conceptualizations of the final exam project
I found this program really interesting because, I found, it in some ways was a great representation of the thought of generativity and in others it kind of defied it. Opening the program you immediately spot the small dots beginning to spawn and you hear the sound. The dots feel random but of course accumulating where the sound seems, to me, planned but also escalating. So both the dots and the sound is "escalating" but the sound is prepared and therefore seems like the performance. This made me feel like the sound was the main part of the experience, and it's also interesting how the sound has an actual end, where the dots just keep on going forever. Reading your thoughts on this program was also very interesting, and necessary to understand what you were trying to do. Cool!
