Summary
Writing a rough syllabus for the theory course. This will be a mandatory course of LA-CoNGA. The objective of the course is:
a modern understanding of the Standard Model
the concepts it is based upon : quantum mechanics, relativity, field theory, gauge theory
its composition in terms of fields : matter, interactions, Higgs
the phenomena it describes : mostly subatomic physics, but also astrophysics and cosmology
the experimental evidence in support of its validity
some arguments/thoughts/facts about BSM physics
